I was paging through an issue of Artnews from this past February and came across an intriguing video installation artist, Candice Breitz. Check her out. http://www.candicebreitz.net/
I love the concept behind some of these works. She constructs installations using found video, but also incorporates her own video of amateurs performing songs by iconic musicians, including Bob Marley and Michael Jackson.
